The agreement

These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and PassiveTask Ltd (“PassiveTask,” “we,” “us”). They apply to passivetask.com and the PassiveTask application. If you use PassiveTask on behalf of a company, you agree to these terms for that company.

Accounts and eligibility

You need an account to use most of PassiveTask, and you must be at least 18. Keep your login details secure — you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.

Acceptable use

Use PassiveTask for lawful construction-documentation purposes. Do not upload anything you do not have the right to, do not attempt to break or misuse the platform, and do not use it to store unlawful content. We can suspend accounts that put the service or other customers at risk.

Your content stays yours

You own the projects, documents, photos, and files you upload. You give us the permission we need to host, process, and display that content so we can provide the service, and nothing more. We do not claim ownership of your work.

Our platform stays ours

PassiveTask, including its software, design, and brand, belongs to PassiveTask Ltd. We give you the right to use it while your subscription is active; we do not transfer any ownership in the platform itself.

Fees and billing

Paid plans are billed on the schedule shown when you subscribe. Fees are charged in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law. If fees change, we will give you notice before the change applies to you.

Availability and support

We work to keep PassiveTask running and to support you, but we provide the service “as is” and cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may update, change, or retire features over time.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, PassiveTask Ltd is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Termination

You can stop using PassiveTask and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken. Before your account closes, you will have a reasonable chance to export your data.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes fall to the courts of Ontario.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product and the law evolve. If a change is material, we will update the effective date and let you know. Continuing to use PassiveTask means you accept the current terms.
